Video Blog week 7

This video that I've made is showing the process of designing a concept for a packing project for a Toy called slap-n-stick.

These toys are hands that stretch and stick onto surfaces, the project was to rebrand the whole toy.  Including the name, the back story behind the toy and all the packaging that would be provided.  Our team decided on the same "Slap-N-Stick because it's an easy call-back to what the toy does.  This Toy is usually marketed for $1.00 and the goal was to market the toy to be sold for $10.00 instead.  By making the packaging part of the toy itself is the way my team chose to go.  We are going to make it where the packaging is actually interactive and gives you a target to aim at with the toy.  There will be a pull-out poster with aliens on it for you to be able to aim at and keep score with friends to see who has "slapped" the most.  Turning the packaging into a game itself adds to the value of the product and gives kids a reason not to throw it away.  Where the hands are on the front would be where the actual toy would show thru so that you could see thru the packaging and see the physical toy.  While this is just a rough draft of the actual packaging it gives you some insight on the direction we as a team are planning on heading with the project.

There will be more updates once the project is approved by the team manager.
